His professional career spans oil and gas production, manufacturing, and real estate development. Throughout his career, he has focused on starting and growing businesses, creating jobs, and investing in communities across District One.
Public service runs deep in the Sallee family. His grandfather, Lincoln Sallee, served as Tulsa County Commissioner for District One in 1938 and later as Mayor of Collinsville. His maternal grandfather, Col. Sol H. Bayouth, was a respected community leader, longtime member of the Tulsa County Fair Board, and founder of Bayouth Department Stores throughout northeastern Oklahoma.
Following in his family’s tradition of service, Commissioner Sallee was elected to the Collinsville City Council in 2002 and later served eight years as Mayor. He has also served on numerous local, regional, and state boards and organizations.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to economic development, Commissioner Sallee works to build partnerships that strengthen communities and improve quality of life. In 2005, he was honored by the Oklahoma Municipal League as Oklahoma’s Mayor of the Year for his dedication to community service and his efforts to advance projects that benefited residents throughout the region.
As County Commissioner, Sallee has focused on public safety, transportation infrastructure, and responsible economic development. His priorities include improving roads and bridges, supporting first responders, and ensuring Tulsa County remains competitive for future growth. During 2024 and 2025, he led dozens of state legislators on bridge tours across Oklahoma to highlight critical infrastructure needs. Those efforts helped build support for the largest county transportation funding package in Oklahoma history.
Commissioner Sallee stays committed to addressing the challenges facing Tulsa County through practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, transparency, accountability, and a results-oriented approach that makes District One and Tulsa County a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
