Years as a Registered Republican:
Chris Merideth is a conservative reformer, insurance industry veteran, and Republican candidate for Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner. With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry; from frontline claims to executive leadership and national policy boards; Chris brings a level of real-world experience that few candidates for public office can match.
Chris has led large-scale insurance operations, worked with agents and adjusters across multiple states, and advised legislators on insurance policy and regulatory reform. He has also served on national insurance advisory boards and industry working groups helping shape policy solutions for some of the toughest challenges facing the insurance market today.
Through that experience, Chris has seen the system from every angle; inside the companies, inside the claims process, and inside the halls of government. That’s why he often says he’s “been behind every curtain in the insurance system.” And what he’s seen is clear: the system isn’t working the way it should for Oklahoma families.
Chris is running because he believes Oklahoma deserves an Insurance Commissioner who understands the system deeply enough to fix it; someone who can lower costs, increase transparency, protect consumers, and strengthen the insurance market so coverage remains available across all 77 counties.
His campaign focuses on conservative leadership, free-market reforms, stronger building standards to reduce storm losses, litigation reform, and restoring trust between consumers, agents, and insurers.
Chris is traveling the state building a grassroots movement of agents, business leaders, and everyday Oklahomans who believe it’s time to bring accountability and common sense back to insurance regulation. Learn more at ChrisMeridethForOK.com

1. Lower insurance costs for Oklahoma families. My top priority is simple: bring down the cost of insurance for hardworking Oklahoma families.
2. Fix the broken roofing system. Root out fraud and abuse by auditing both claims and contractors, restore trust and fairness to the system.
3. Strengthen Homes to stabilize the market. Expand mitigation efforts like FORTIFIED roofs to reduce risk, attract insurers, and create long-term rate stability.
4. Address litigation abuse driving up premiums. Support common-sense legal reforms to reduce excessive lawsuits that increase costs for every policyholder.
5. Reduce uninsured motorists and increase accountability. Implement stronger enforcement measures, including meaningful penalties at the county level, to reduce uninsured drivers and support local communities.
