Jon Echols

Jon has spent his entire life in Oklahoma. He is a fifth-generation Oklahoman whose roots trace back to the Land Run, and his family still owns the farm they have held in Okeene since 1893.

Jon met his wife, Kristen, in high school, and together they are now raising their three children in Oklahoma City (OKC). No one is more committed to our area's future than Jon Echols.

As a local small business owner and serial entrepreneur—who started his first business while in college—Jon deeply understands what it takes to run a business and create jobs in our economy. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and his law degree from Oklahoma City University.

Jon has served on the board of directors for the City Rescue Mission, and he takes great pride in their vital work supporting the neediest members of our community. Jon and his family attend Capitol Hill Baptist Church. He is also the co-founder of Shelter Oklahoma Schools, a charity that has raised over $2.5 million to build storm shelters at schools across the state, including those in Western Heights and Moore.

Jon served the citizens of House District 90 as their representative for 12 years. His peers quickly recognized his heart for service and strong legislative abilities; after just four years in office, he was named House Majority Floor Leader, one of the top positions at the Capitol. In that role, he directed the flow of legislation—from committee assignments to bill presentations on the floor. He was known for his staunch defense of the Constitution, law enforcement, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and the right to life.

Jon also safeguarded taxpayer dollars by creating the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency, which has already identified millions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayers' money.
