Justin Humphrey is a Republican State Representative serving Oklahoma House District 19, which includes Choctaw and Pushmataha counties and portions of Atoka and Bryan counties. A lifelong resident of southeastern Oklahoma, he was elected in 2017 and has served with distinction for the past decade.
Humphrey graduated from Atoka High School in 1984 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He began his career with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, where he served for 20 years as a probation and parole officer. During his tenure, he held special assignments as a DARE officer and as a member of the CERT (special response) team. He also served as vice president of his local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. Humphrey completed extensive professional training, including the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program, the Correctional Officer Academy at Eastern University, the Probation and Parole Academy at Oklahoma State University, and the CLEET Law Enforcement Academy at Stillwater Technology Center.
In 2010, he retired from the Department of Corrections and founded Last Chance Supervision Services, a private company that provided contracted drug court supervision, private probation, drug testing, DNA testing, and GPS tracking for courts and private clients. He also served as administrator of the Atoka/Coal County Drug Court from 2010 to 2016.
Representative Humphrey currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Public Safety Committee and the Tourism Committee. He is also a member of the Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight Committee and the Appropriations & Budget Judiciary Subcommittee. In previous sessions, he has chaired the House Criminal Justice and Corrections Committee and the Public Safety Committee, and has held leadership and membership roles on numerous other committees, including County and Municipal Government, Agricultural and Rural Development, Judiciary, and Appropriations & Budget subcommittees.
In addition to his public service, Humphrey operates a cattle ranch in southeastern Oklahoma. He has been married to his wife, Carla, for 36 years. Together they have three sons: Coben, Cort, and Cade. The Humphreys are active members of Church of the Rock in Lane, Oklahoma, where Justin serves as a worship leader.
His diverse background in law enforcement, business, corrections, and agriculture has shaped his strong commitment to public safety, criminal justice reform, rural development, and constituent service in southeast Oklahoma.
