
John Fothergill
Tulsa County Treasurer
John Fothergill is the Treasurer for Tulsa County. He is a graduate of Jenks High School and Northeastern State University with a B.A. in Finance. He is married and has two sons. He served as Chief Deputy of the Treasurer under Dennis Semler. He was also Chief Deputy for Commissioner Karen Keith.
Before he came to Tulsa County, he worked for over a decade at the Tulsa City Council where he was the Director of Constituent Services, Legislative Liaison, and Council Aide serving all nine City of Tulsa Districts. He is a former Board of Adjustment Member, City Councilor, and Vice-Mayor of Sand Springs. He also served on the Tulsa Area Metropolitan Planning Commission, was a former Chair of PatriotFest, a former board member of the Oklahoma Municipal League, Tulsa Levee District 12, Tulsa Metropolitan Environmental Trust and Route 66 Main Street.
John is a member of the Coalition of Tulsa Area Governments and has served over 20 years on the Event Management Team for Oktoberfest. In addition, he is currently a board member of the Lucile Page Manor Apartments, and the President of the Rotary Club of Sand Springs for 25-26.
In his free time, John enjoys camping and helping as the Committee Chair of Troop 507 of Sand Springs. He also helps run a cow-calf operation on a 160-acre farm in Garfield County with his dad and brother and enjoys hunting Oklahoma’s wide range of game with his family.
