Saturday, many people gathered in Tulsa for “No Kings” protests. We saw the reports — here in Oklahoma and across the country. While we strongly disagree with the message, we respect every American’s right to peacefully express their views. That’s one of the beautiful things about our country.
At the Tulsa County Republican Party, we believe America has never had kings, and we never will. Our system is built on the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, free elections, and the rule of law. President Trump was elected by the American people in a clear victory in 2024 because millions of voters — including many right here in Oklahoma — wanted a leader who would put America and its citizens first.
We understand that not everyone agrees with the direction the country is heading. That’s okay. Healthy debate is part of what makes our republic strong. That said, we want to remind everyone that elections have consequences. When the people speak at the ballot box, the responsible thing is to accept the results and work within our democratic system — not take to the streets with claims of tyranny every time things don’t go your way.
Here in Tulsa County and across Oklahoma, we’re seeing real progress under President Trump:
Stronger borders that protect our communities and reduce illegal crossings.
Record U.S. energy production making America less dependent on unstable foreign regimes.
Support for law enforcement and a renewed focus on safety in our neighborhoods.
We know many of the protesters mean well and care deeply about our country. We simply ask that you give the elected President a fair chance to deliver on the promises that won him the election. Most Oklahomans want secure borders, a strong economy, safe streets, and a government that lives within its means. That’s not extremism — that’s common sense.
To everyone who joined the protests Saturday: thank you for exercising your First Amendment rights peacefully. We hope you’ll also respect the millions of Americans who voted for the changes now taking place. Let’s keep the conversation civil and remember that we’re all neighbors here in Tulsa and across this great state.
Tulsa County Republicans remain committed to limited government, individual liberty, strong national defense, faith, and traditional American values. We welcome anyone who shares those principles to join us. Together, we can keep Oklahoma strong and America moving forward.
If you’d like to get involved or learn more about our efforts, we’d love to hear from you.
Wishing everyone a safe and blessed week,
God Bless President Trump. God Bless Tulsa. God Bless Oklahoma and the United States of America.
